Week 47: I am so much better at basketball than me

Hey friends, family, fun people, and cool beans. Welcome to this weekly update hosted by the one and only Colin Yost. Just kidding it's me. Sorry I had to scare you there for a bit. So this weekly email will probably be a little shorter because I really can't think of what to say about this week other than tourists. There are so many tourists. Like so. so. many. Ugh. And I am basically equivalent to a tourist in certain respects but I have been here for at least four months so I feel entitled to say I am a local. So yeah. Tuesday was finding people to teach. Good stuff. Sadly we were told by the Europe Area Security Department that missionaries in England needed to be inside their flats by 6:30pm so we did not get to watch the game. Let's just say Elder Man was...disappointed, or in his words, dead. Week 78: The more things change...

Ayup lads and laddettes. So, I'll be honest, I've spent most of my time talking with my family and rearranging my flat so I wouldn't have to use bunk beds anymore.  I will be brief today but next week should be better. I've said that for weeks but hey, in 6 months it won't matter   just kidding, kind of.  This week was a blur. We went to London and had interviews with our mission President. They were wonderful. I keep thinking about how much I've grown and how I have changed and thank the Lord for the miracles he has worked in my life as I've been serving Him.  I don't really even have pictures from this week.  But yeah things are good. Time is going swiftly. I have less than 6 months left. Week 93: Eu entendi todas as coisas na Igreja :-)

Bom dia todos! Wow this week was really intense. Let me jump right in with a few updates: - My portuguese is rapidly improving. I understood everything at church yesterday! I was able to have some good conversations in portuguese as well. It honestly still blows my mind to know that I am learning and speaking portuguese right now, but I feel the Lord strengthening me and helping me learn faster than I would be able to on my own. I am able to carry a pretty detailed conversation with people on the street and talk about all different kinds of things, including the gospel. One of the most interesting things about all of this is praying. I am trying to pray in portuguese once per day. When I am talking on the street and in front of other people, I sometimes forget words or do not remember how to say a specific thing. However, when I pray, I feel like the Lord helps me remember what I need to say and how to say it. I am so humbled by the help He has given me and the time I am spending s...
