Hiya everyone. So, first a disclaimer. I'm really behind on emailing some individual people today and we're going cross the Solent to Portsmouth this afternoon so the group one is going be a bit short.
We had transfer news come yesterday.
Elder Brown and I are staying together for another transfer :-)
Wight Christmas here I come.
In the past four months here on this island that is part of a yet bigger island, I've learned so much. I've had time to ponder and reflect on who I am and who I am becoming, who I want to be, what I want to do, and who God wants me to become. In simple words, I'm excited for the future. But yet, excited doesn't even begin to illustrate the deep feelings I have. The beautiful thing about the minds God has given us are their capacity to create and store ideas. My excitement for the future does not rob me of the joy of today, for I do feel joy. I love this work. I love the people I serve and country I do it in. I also love my family, close and extended. I love all of you. Most of all I love my Saviour.
I see much during my days, things that would make you cry and others that fill one's soul with light. Throughout it all, one truth remains: Love. I am loved. You are loved. God loves us all and He is manifesting that love daily in ways you can't even recognise at this present time. But you will one day. I know this to be true because I have felt it, in fact I have more than felt it. I have at times glimpsed what it feels like to become the recipient and the deliverer of such perfect love. And it is incomprehensible and beautiful.
I hope that you are finding ways to share love this season and are feeling loved as well. At the very least know that God loves you and if you don't believe in God, know that I love you. Have an amazing week everyone.
Just a funny moment this week:
A member yesterday told us that if he was a ninja, he would not carry any weapons but just fall on people. The conversation kept going and then he said "you've heard of the hammer of God, well I'm the flesh anvil of the Gods"
Enjoy the pics and we'll have some mail normalcy next week :-)
