Week 75: Të Keqen
Sup all you evil people. That's what you'll think I'm calling you if you literally translate this from Albanian. The actual translation is basically "I take the evil from you". Basically imagine an old lady (nona) seeing a little lid trying to tie his shoes. She would say "o Të keqen". So yeah it's my new favourite phrase.
This week has been a bit crazy but it's been crazy good as well. Monday was a bit difficult. I was in denial that I was leaving the Isle of Wight. It was a really great day though. We went around visiting all of the people I had come to love. And packing. Way too much packing. But yeah. It was rough. I maybe cried like 3 times. But no more than 3 times. Then the fateful day came and Elder Brown and I had to part ways. Tears. But, that kid is tearing it up down in the Isle of Wight and he is so ready for anything. Love that kid.So here's a bit about my new companion:Name - Elder AllkjaPOB - AlbaniaLanguages Spoken - Albanian, EnglishFavourite breakfast food - eggFavourite food - saladFavourite colour - unicorn colourYep. That's about it.Haha he's super funny and we are getting along well. This transfer is going to be amazing. So about the area:Woodley is actually geographically centred on a suburb of Reading called Woodley. We live in Reading and primarily stay here in town and go to other places to visit specific people. It's pretty close to London and a lot of commuters live here. It's almost always busy and there are so many different cultures and people. One of my favourite things of the town is the abundance of canals. It reminds me of Oxford. It reminds me of Richmond. It just makes me happy. There isn't much more to say here this week. It snowed and, though it didn't stay, it was amazing and made me so happy. There have been good times and trying times, but throughout it all I remember Christ.British word of the week: I swear down - it basically means you are really certain of somethingBritish Food of the week: bens cookies - they have one here in Reading and it's so goodScripture of the Week: Mosiah 15:25 happy birthday buddyCompanion Comic: Elder Allkja boils eggs while he is in the shower???It's soy boy's birthday this week. I'm reflective. I'm pensive. I'm emotional. But that's okay. I will continue to get through with the help of the Lord. But here's your challenge. Do something outrageous for his birthday. Send me a photo of what you do. I love you all and thank you for all your support, in the past, present and future. Lots of love,Elder McKinley

This train Station gave me such nostalgia for my time in Oxford
Finn- This is the first I've seen your blog. It is wonderful and now I can say Hi.
Hi!
Bob and I were recently in London
And learned a couple things.
1.Taxis to London from the airport are REALLY expensive. My understanding of why is a green fee charged by the government of 11 lbs
On each cab that enters London .
2.British Airways is run by robots who have no hearts or souls.
3. The Brits like queues and rules more than I do
4. The diversity in London is refreshing after living in Radford
5. It really is rainy and foggy everyday.
Good luck in your new location !
I carried my Sawyer bracelet all thru London and Italy.
He will never be forgotten.
