Week 86: Estou muito cansando mas eu estou feliz

Wow. This week has been insane. This has been the busiest week of my mission so far. We've been in and out of the office, making phone calls left and right and speaking Portuguese with people on the street every second we can. Here are some highlights of the week:
- We taught a lesson in Portuguese and I understood a lot of it and was able to respond well :-) The gift of tongues is real.
- We played basketball every morning this last week with about 12 other missionaries.
- I took the tube loads of times and am basically now a pro.
- We had the same flash mob tube buskers (that's a thing) perform for us 3 nights in a row.
- We went to church and the whole thing was in Portuguese and I understood a solid 50% of what was said.
-We called everyone in the mission. Everyone.
- I randomly got a call from Missionary Headquarters during the afternoon one day with a special assignment that needed to be done before the end of the night.
- Purchased over 100 pounds worth of chicken at Costco.

Needless to say, this week has been crazy. This has been the busiest week of my mission and I feel that things will not slow down anytime soon. However, I have a testimony that the Lord strengthens and supports us when we are on His errand. One of the recurring thoughts I have had this week was the need for humility. As we recognise that we are incapable of so many things, we begin to realise how capable the Lord actually is and how willing He is to help us in the challenges we are facing.

British Food of the Week, Brasil edition: cottage pie...with rice - I know it's nothing fancy but hey, it was different and it was great.

Companion Comic: my companion says the word "ripper" all the time and it makes me laugh so much. I love him. For example, we were just trying to go to TK Maxx and we went the wrong way and we had to turn back and he said "well that's a ripper". It doesn't sound funny in the email, but the frequency of the usage and context is always great.

Scripture of the Week: D&C 112:10

I love you all so much and I am so sorry if I cannot respond this week. I have such little time today because of some trainings we are giving but I will be in touch!!
