Week 81: The Mayor of Toy Town is Dead

Brisith word of the week: broke the back of it - got through the worst of it 

Comp comic: We helped a polish lady with her garden last night in our church clothes and she gave us a cheesecake. She also could not believe that we wouldn't accept money from her. It was so touching to see how we could help a lady feel God's love for her individually.

Hey friends. So disclaimer. We have some new technology guidelines that I wanted to make you aware of. I will be deactivating my old facebook for now and creating a new one to only use with people here in England. So bye bye for now on Facebook. Also, I only have 90 minutes to email home each Monday now. So that means this weekly email is about to get a lot shorter. That being said, this week: So we had some really great ups and some really low downs this week. First the downs: So a friend of ours we have been working with was planning on getting baptised this weekend. Given some circumstances, he is now going to be waiting until December. There are a lot of details I will not get into but the important thing is we are still really close with him and are going to keep seeing him. Week 6: England Bacon is Odd

Good morning everyone! Another week has come and gone here in Holsworthy and it's been interesting. We spend much of our time knocking on doors, talking to people on the street, and approaching people around town, all with the goal of trying to find people interested in hearing the message we share about the gospel of Jesus Christ. We have not had much success as of late, but we continue to talk and search. The members of the church here in my area are so wonderful and kind. We get fed dinner almost every other day and others give us food if they can't have us over. They are also doing much to help us in our efforts. I'm grateful that we have their support, as few in number as they are. We did a lot of driving this week. General conference, the church broadcast I mentioned in my last email, was broadcasted in a chapel about 1.5 hours away from where we live. Saying Goodbye

Saying goodbye is terribly difficult. I have cried many times already and I imagine I shall cry many times more before I make it to England. In my church, you talk about serving a mission your whole life but you don't really truly talk about it. It occupies space in your mental plans for the future, but that space is filled with uncertainty. No one talks about how difficult it is to leave. And it is difficult. But, I would not be doing it if I did not believe what I do. I love my family. I love my friends. I am so grateful for your support leading up to this moment. I ask you now to continue supporting me. There are two ways you can do this. First, shoot me an email every now and then. I love keeping up with your lives and hearing what's going on. Second, watch out for my family. They are strong people but we have been through a lot, and knowing that I am not leaving them high and dry but instead encircled in the arms of trusted friends gives me great comfort.
